Hitch and I have decided to take another trip across the pond this year. We both had a great time last year and want to continue to get a first hand look at the parts of the world where WW2 was prominent. This year we will fly to Paris, rent a car and drive to Bayeaux and visit the beaches of Normandy. From there we will drive back to Paris, drop the car off and take the train to Bruge, Belgium. I saw someone post about it on Facebook and looked it up and it looks fantastic. We then heard about that movie called ‘In Bruges’ which was quite entertaining. The city looks fantastic and we are looking forward to a stopover there. After that we will take the train to London for a few nights, before we head back to Paris for a few days and head home. Hopefully we will get a chance to see the ‘must see’ places and then get a good feel for where we might like to return to.

Paris and London were two of our favourites! Take a padlock and lock it to lovers bridge in Paris 🙂 Write your names on it, lock it up and throw your keys in to the seine! Tower of London is amazing. Do the tour with a Beefeater guide…hilarious and entertaining! Visit Covent Garden in London…great entertainment, markets and restaurants. Versailles is a must for Paris as well! It was probably the kids’ (and our) favourite place to visit. Marie Antoinette’s farm is amazing. We bought a baguette at the fancy restaurant there and fed it all to the swans 🙂
